Watch the first episode of “On the Air”, a short lived TV series created by David Lynch and Mark Frost who had previously cooperated on Twin Peaks.
“After the leftfield success of the mysterious, enigmatic Twin Peaks, David Lynch returned to television in 1992 with On the Air, a situation comedy (of all things) centered on the backstage hijinks on the set of a 1950s variety show. Unsurprisingly, Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost put an eccentric spin on the tired TV format, mixing surrealism and slapstick to great effect. Although seven episodes were filmed, only three were aired by ABC.”
